Digital Director – Washington D.C.
Overview: Senator-elect Elissa Slotkin is seeking an experienced, accomplished digital media director to serve in her Senate office. Under the supervision of the Communications Director, the Digital Director will use the tools of modern media to ensure constituents, key stakeholders and the broader public are fully and transparently informed about the Senator-elect’s work.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversight and operation of all digital communications channels, including
- Official Senate website
- Official social media accounts
- Video, photographic and audio communications
- Working with the Communications Director and other staff to develop and execute strategies that use these channels in pursuit of communications and policy goals
- Gathering, editing and producing media in a wide range of formats to feed these channels.
Candidate qualifications
- Exceptional technical skills in video, photography and video production.
- Ability to conceive, plan and execute excellent digital media campaigns on tight deadlines.
- Story-telling chops to make the office’s work real and tangible to the people of Michigan.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team are also crucial for success in this role.
Location and work environment: This role is in the Washington D.C. office. Candidates should expect a fast paced, results oriented work environment.
